Dr. Daniel Buscaglia is a pioneer in the field of laser aesthetics. He is among the most accomplished and experienced laser physicians in the world. In addition, he is masterful at combining aesthetic treatments to achieve more synergistic outcomes. He’s developed confident and creative off-label treatment plans to achieve outstanding results in even the most complicated cases.

Dr. Daniel A. Buscaglia, a board-certified dermatologist and phlebologist (vein care specialist), serves as Cosmetic Vein and Laser Center’s Medical Director and President. What sets Dr. Buscaglia apart apart is his unique passion for marrying technological innovation and human need. From a very early age, he was inspired by his father’s career in IT and his mother’s career in social work. This fascination became the springboard for his life-long desire to utilize cutting-edge technological advances in medicine to solve very real human conditions and confidence barriers.

Dr. Buscaglia received his Bachelor of Science degree from Gannon University and his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from Midwestern University in Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his 3-year dermatology residency training at Ohio University’s Grandview Medical Center, where he served as chief resident and as an academic teaching fellow. During this specialized training, Dr. Buscaglia initiated and directed an outpatient laser clinic to treat wrinkles, pigmented lesions, vascular lesions, and tattoos. Dr. Buscaglia curated Cosmetic Vein and Laser Center to be equipped with with one of the most extensive portfolios of leading laser and light technology for the advanced treatment of cosmetic skin and vein concerns—leading to the most safe, innovative, and effective treatments for patients. With over 25 years of experience, Dr. Buscaglia has secured a legacy of impeccable patient care with his team of highly-trained dermatology and phlebology providers.

Outside of his own practice, Dr. Buscaglia shares his years of expertise as a Clinical Instructor of Procedural Dermatology, Lasers, and Phlebology for the Department of Dermatology, SUNY at Buffalo, and as the Attending Dermatologist and Associate Faculty at Daemen College Physician Assistant Program. Dr. Buscaglia also gives back to the community as a Volunteer Dermatologist for the University at Buffalo Inner City Lighthouse Clinic.

Born and raised in Buffalo, Dr. Buscaglia returned to his hometown after his medical education because of his love for the area and family ties. He lives in East Aurora with his wife, Lisa, and their five children. In his personal time, Dr. Buscaglia enjoys quality time with family, European travel, restoring historic buildings with his wife, running, fishing, and fine wine collecting.

The Journey To Excellence: Education And Training

The Medical Director and President of the Cosmetic Vein & Laser Center in Williamsville, New York, Dr. Buscaglia completed a three-year dermatology residency training at Grandview Medical Center at Ohio University. He was asked to serve as Chief Resident and academic teaching fellow. During his specialized training, he initiated and directed an outpatient laser clinic for the treatment of wrinkles, pigmented lesions, vascular lesions, and tattoos. Dr. Buscaglia also completed a clinical dermatology fellowship in experimental laser therapy (Photodynamic Therapy) at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Dr. Buscaglia received his Bachelor of Science degree from Gannon University and his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Midwestern University, Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is board-certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Dermatology, and a fellow of both the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology.
