Unveiling Facial Vein Concerns

When they're damaged, they can appear as blue, red, or purple lines. Broken capillaries commonly appear on the nose, chin, and cheeks. Facial veins can cause some people to feel self-conscious.

Small Facial Veins And Their Treatment

There are many terms used to describe facial veins, including small spider veins, broken blood vessels, broken capillaries, and rosacea veins. Facial veins can appear as delicate red threads on the nose and cheek area. Lasers are the main treatment for these concerns. They are excellent for this type of vein issue, especially when sclerotherapy is not an option. Light-based lasers can target the veins and destroy them without injuring surrounding tissue. This type of treatment is highly successful in removing spider veins, broken capillaries, and rosacea symptoms.

How Does Light-Based Therapy Treat Facial Veins?

Light-based therapy is excellent for removing facial veins, such as rosacea and spider veins, due to the device's electromagnetic light energy being adaptable and able to be specifically programmed to target red wavelengths. Since healthy tissue is not targeted by the laser, it remains unharmed and intact.

Treating Larger Facial Veins

Large veins are more common around the temples, eyes, and nasolabial folds. These can be due to a variety of factors. Sun exposure is a primary cause, as are genetics and aging. These veins are removed through a process called sclerotherapy. A solution is injected into the vein, which causes it to collapse and fade away. Sclerotherapy is a relatively quick and easy procedure with minimal downtime. Prior to your procedure, our board-certified doctors will ensure that the underlying cause is addressed to prevent the veins from recurring.
